SMS & Text Messaging

If you give us a mobile number with texts turned on — in the comic portal, by joining a show's waitlist, or by checking the text-me-my-confirmation box at checkout — we collect your mobile number, your name, and the date and method by which you gave consent. We use this information solely to send you information about upcoming shows, ticket availability, and event reminders from Steel City Cellar.

We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or your SMS consent data to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Message frequency varies; you may receive up to 30 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at hello@steelcitycellar.com.

What we collect

  • Your email — when you join the list or buy a ticket.
  • Order details — what you bought and when. Card payments run through Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
  • Site activity — the pages you view, the site you came from, an approximate location (country/region), and two identifiers we keep in your browser: a session id and a longer-lived visitor id.

Tying activity to you

If you give us your email — by signing up or buying a ticket — we may connect the browsing activity above to that email. The point is narrow: so the one email a week we send is about shows you'd actually want, instead of everything. We use it for our own booking and marketing. We don't sell it or hand it to advertisers.

Who touches your data

Only the services that run the place: Stripe (payments), Resend (the email we send you), Supabase (where our data lives), and Vercel (hosting and traffic analytics). They process it on our behalf. Nobody buys it from us.

Your choices

  • Stay anonymous. Turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser. We honor it — with it on, we never attach the visitor id, so your activity can't be linked to you.
  • Leave the list. Reply to any email we send and we'll take you off.
  • Be forgotten. Email us and we'll delete what we have on you.

Cookies and storage

We use your browser's own storage for the two ids above. We don't run third-party advertising cookies or trackers.
